Who designed Actvo™ and what experience do they have?

Actvo™ was designed by world leading career planner and coach Melissa Jenner. Trained in Design Thinking & Design your Life Coaching from Stanford University, Melissa has spent the past 8 years working with 1000s of employees individually, in groups, and inside universities to help them plan a career, change jobs, consider new career pathways and learn new skills to enable career change. She is regarded highly as a Career Planner and Strategist, and her experience has underpinned the design of Actvo™.

What is ACE™ and how does it work?

Ace™ is an online career guide (chat-bot). It’s built on the Microsoft Azure Open-Ai platform, and is trained in career coaching methodology developed by Melissa Jenner. Ace™ is available 24/7 to help people with careers advice - how to solve challenges at work, how to communicate your value for a promotion, how to prepare for a job change, how to plan a job change, and how to build new skills to ensure the job change is successful. Ace™ can also help with tricky on the job challenges such as navigating difficult change, dealing with confronting challenges at work, and general on-the-job coaching. Ace™ is trained in a unique combination of design led tools & processes, proven over 8 years with large batches of behavioural & careers data, combined with a ‘systemic eclectic’ coaching style. All information shared is strictly private and not shared outside of Actvo Ltd for any resale or marketing purposes.

What are the benefits of using Actvo.me?

Actvo™ is an LXP (Learning Experience Platform). It helps you do 3 things.
1: Articulate your true value by compiling a personalised ‘story’ (like an added value CV) on your achievements, values, personality, skills and work experience. This also gives you a unique and individual SuperPower of what you are great at as a human . If you want to understand your true value to the workforce, the Story in Actvo™ helps with this.

2. It helps you solve on the job work challenges, acting like an online career coach. You can pick pre-determined challenges that people at work struggle with or create your own. We then help you solve challenges with online personalised learning activities, tailored for you. You can do on-the-job learning, learning by doing, social learning activities, and skill-based learning courses and activities.

3. It predicts the right next job for you. If you want to understand all the options for jobs you are suited to in your immediate future, our Grow Pathways will show you your future career option, matched based on our recommendations engine using the data you have provided in your Story. We help you choose a career pathway (way of working) and see and choose the jobs most suitable for you. We show you if you have a high skill and experience match to new jobs, and how to close any skill & experience gaps with personalised learning pathways. Getting you ready for internal mobility, or to pursue a new job outside of your organisation or industry.

How does the AI work?

We use AI as both a data analysis tool, and as a recommendations engine. We use the Microsoft Open AI LLM to do the following things:

1. Co-create with you value statements about what makes you unique in the workplace.

2. Recommend skills, strengths & work experience you have from the data you give us (eg your CV + the activities you do on the platform).

3. Analyse & compile based on activity input, preferences that you have for future work. We provide a range of 8 activities for you to compile a hierarchy of needs, to inform our recommendations engine for future work pathways.

4. Recommend from your career goals the right career pathway for you. We rank 12 ‘ways of working’ career pathways in order to suit your needs & goals as you have provided us.

5. Recommend jobs that will suit you in the future, based on the information you give us. These jobs are ‘adapted’ to ensure they are still likely to be valid in the ‘age of AI’ eg won’t be eliminated.

6. Recommend personalise learning activities to help grow new skills & experience, based on your personality, learning preferences, and skill-set.

We don’t do anything without your permission. We make recommendations based on your self authored, private personal data, and you choose the direction you go in. We give customers personal Agency and user-driven control. We are not an Agent.

How does the Subscription Work?

We offer monthly subscription packages online, to help with on-the-job career coaching and skill pathing. Our packages start from NZD $4.95 per month. We recommend you use the product for at least 6 months to get the full benefit of the coaching and planning product. You set up a profile, upload your CV or other relevant background information and then you can access the STORY. Once you have completed your STORY we recommend you upgrade to access SOLVE (for solving career and job changing challenges) and GROW to receive career pathway and new job recommendations. You can cancel anytime. There is no minimum term.
